In my day job, I’m the Operations Coordinator at The Gift Trust, a New Zealand registered philanthropic charity that simplifies generosity to make good happen.
In my spare time, I chair and/or sit on the boards of a number of local charitable and community organisations in Wellington:
- I chair the board of WYESI, a registered charity which supports rangatahi to develop themselves and help their communities through organising great events. We’re the kaitiaki for [email protected], which gives young Wellingtonians a global platform to spread their ideas.
Prior to my current governance role, I helped lead the operations side of [email protected], which means I’ve got a really strong set of skills in event organising and team development. - I’m the Deputy Chair of the Tawa Community Board, a locally-elected body which represents and advocates for the people of Tawa, Linden, and Grenada North. Through this work I’ve gained a great understanding both of local government and local activism, particularly in the areas of housing and community development.
- I’m also the chair of the board of Tawa Union Church, and am on the board of the Tawa Technology Education Trust.
I’m also a freelance creative specialising in graphic design, video production, and web design, but you probably already knew that.
